Adelia C. Sullivan

ADELIA C. SULLIVAN

Adelia C. Sullivan, wife of John W. Sullivan, and second daughter of Job and Caroline (Porter) Whitney, was born in Shelby, Orleans County, New York, 23 Oct 1840. In the spring of 1864, she came to Byron with her parents, and inherited 40 acres of land from her father’s estate. She married Mr. J. Sullivan, 31 Aug 1868. Mr. Sullivan was born 2 Apr 1846 at Wyoming, Wisconsin. Their children were Edwin P., 16 Aug 1869; Burt, 20 Aug 1871; Frank W., 17 Apr 1873; Alice J., 23 Apr 1874; Frederick, 8 May 1877 and Eunice C., 3 Apr 1881. Burt died 12 Jun 1873 and Frank six days later, both of diphtheria.
