1877 Jacob Bovee Dance List
(If anyone knows what this list is, please let me know. There were some
dues that were paid. NOTE: Further information received from Gerald Wisner regarding the Jacob Bovee Dance. Charles W. Wisner was an officer in the F. & A. M. Lowell Lodge #90 in 1880 which he believes is the Masonic Lodge. It is thought that the Jacob Bovee Dance was a function of the Masonic Lodge. Charles W. Wisner, his brother, Edgar E. Wisner were sons of Marcus Lafayette Wisner, a descendant of the Fighting Wisners of Revolutionary War fame from Orange County, NY. All three Wisner's are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell. They owned the Wisner Mill in Lowell and pictures of Charles and Edgar are in the Lowell Historical Museum with the Board of Trade. |
