Formation of Lapeer Township, Lapeer County, 1834

No. 20.

AN ACT to organize the township of Lapeer.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Legislative Council of the Territory of Michigan, That all that part of the county of Lapeer, not included in the townships of Bristol and Grand Blanc, shall be a township by the name of Lapeer, and the first township meeting shall be held at the now dwelling house of Ested H. Highby in said Township.

Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force on and after the first Monday of April next.
