I decided not to post this article, because it is offensive, although it's interesting that articles like this once appeared in newspapers. The author doesn't seem to be intentionally hateful, but his racism comes out pretty clearly.

The article concerns an interracial marriage between Aaron Joiner and Sophrina Green, performed in Almont, Lapeer County, MI by Rev. Henry Bates. If one of these people was my ancestor, I would be very interested to see this article, offensive though it may be.
