Burdickville - Former town on the shore of Glen Lake established in 1864 and abandoned in 1912
Burton Dock - Former dock located in the center of the bay on South Manitou Island

Carp Lake - An early name for Lake Leelanau
Cat Head Village - Former settlement on Lake Michigan where Peterson Park is today.
Cedar City - An unincorporated community with a post office in Solon Township.
Cherry Home - A post office from 1919-1931 located in the center of Leelanau Township.
Crystal Spring - Settlement located on M-22 in Elmwood Township near Greilickville.
Crescent - A former settlement with a dock on the west side of North Manitou Island
Eagletown - Location just south of Peshawbestown on M-22
East Empire -
Elm Rock - Post office in Elmwood Township from 1879-1883

Fouch - An unincorporated community on the south end of Lake Leelanau.
Four Corners - Original name of Isadore
Gills Pier - A former settlement in the southwest part of Leelanau Township with a post office from 1883-1908.
Glen Arbor - A census-designated place and tourist "town" in Glen Arbor Township.
Glen Haven - A former village and coast guard station.
Glen Lake - Near Sleeping Bear Dunes with M-22 dividing Big and Little Glen Lakes
Glenmere - A post office from 1905-1916
Good Harbor - A former town in the northwest part of Centerville Township
Greilickville - A census designated place in the southeast section of Elmwood Township
Hatch's Crossing - A former railroad station in the center of Elmwood Township
Heimforth - A former settlement on Lake Leelanau in northwest corner of Elmwood Township
Isadore - An unincorporated community named for St. Isadore in Centerville Township
Jacktown - A former settlement located southeast of M-72 and CR677
Kasson Township - Township named for Kasson Freeman and organized in 1865.
Keswick - A former town in Bingham Township with a post office between 1889-1910.
Lake Leelanau - An unincorporated community between North and South Lake Leelanau.
Leelanau Township - Township located at the northern tip of the Leelanau Penninsula
Leland - an unincorporated community with a harbor in Leland Township
Le Naro - An early name for the settlement of Lake Leelanau at the Narrows

Northport Point - Located at the tip of the Leelanau Penninsula
North Unity - A former town on Lake Michigan in Cleveland Township burned in 1871.
Omena - An unincorporated community in southeastern Leelanau Township on Grand Traverse Bay.
Onominese - A former Ottawa village on Lake Michigan about 5 miles north of Leland.
Oviatt - A former community on the Leelanau and Benzie County line in Kasson Twosnhip
Perrin's Landing - A summer resort area established by Daniel Perrin on the south end of Lake Leelanau.
Peshawbestown - An unincorporated community along M-22 in Suttons Bay Township
Pleasant City/Pleasant Village - Suttons Bay
Port Oneida - Former farming community now part of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore
Provemont - An early post office near present day Lake Leelanau

Solon - An unincorporated community in the central part of Solon Township.
South Bar Lake - 69 acre lake near Empire with a public park and swimming
South Fox Island - An island in Lake Michigan with significance to Ottawa tribes.
South Manitou Island - Island in Lake Michigan which is now part of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore
South Manitou Island Village - Former Coast Guard station on southeast South Manitou Island.
Stormer - A former settlement and dock on Southeast coast of North Manitou Island.
Suttons Bay - A village on Grand Traverse Bay.
Traverse Beach Resort - Located at Greilicksville
