Yeager, 92, of Woodland Park, Colo., formerly of the Sun City West, Ariz., Traverse City and Ann Arbor passed away on Jan. 1, 2005, in the company of family members and caregivers. His Heavenly Father blessed him with good health and a sharp mind to the very end of his life. United with his Lord and beloved wife of 62 years, Lucy, may Harlan's eternal life abundantly exceed his earthly life.

He was born on April 1, 1912, in Legonier, Ind., to Albert E. and Cannie C. (Ford) Yeager. He married Lucille A. Sondern on July 11, 1936, in Evansville, Ind. Together they leave a legacy with three children, John A. Yeager of Traverse City, Richard L. Yeager of La Porte, Minn. and Carol S. Warren of Woodland Park, Colo.; plus seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and his loving wife.

Harlan helped to form and eventually owned Auto Parts Company, Inc. of Ann Arbor. After selling the business and retiring in 1967, he and Lucille moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., and then to the Sun City area, where they resided during the winter months, while enjoying their summers on beautiful Lake Leelanau near Cedar. Eventual full time residency in Sun City West, Ariz., in 1997 was followed by their 2003 relocation to Colorado.

A man who shared his good fortune with the communities and institutions that touched his life; he will also be remembered for his affiliations and contributions to the Ann Arbor Exchange Club, BPO Elks, the Masons and the Shriners.

Internment will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wis. A summer memorial service at Omena Presbyterian Church is planned and notice will be given.
