Isaac Clough, enlisted as a private 1777 in Capt. Jesse Page's company, Col. Abraham Drake's regiment. He was born 1753 in Salem, N. H., where his name is found in the census of 1790.

Gr.-granddaughter of Daniel Thompson Pierce and Frances Elizabeth Lewis, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Archelaus Lewis and Elizabeth Brown, his wife.
Archelaus Lewis, (1753-1834), enlisted 1775 under Capt. John Brackett and served until the British evacuated Boston. He was ensign 1776 in Capt. Wentworth Stewart's company and was at Ticonderoga. In 1777 was lieutenant under Capt. George W. Smith, Col. Joseph Vose's regiment. His pension in 1832 was allowed for two years actual service as lieutenant, Massachusetts militia. He was born in Berwick; died in Westbrook, Maine. Also Nos. 3085, 7821, 14053, 34174, 35673.

Amos Stillman (1762-1807) was ensign, 1781, in the 4th company from Hopkinton, R. I. He was born in Westerly, R. I.; died in Burlington, Conn. James Trench (1744-1822) served, 1775-78, as orderly sergeant under Capt. Edmund Hyrne and Colonels Christopher Gadsden and Charles C. Pinckney, South Carolina, and was engaged in the battle of Fort Moultrie. He was born in Boston, Mass.; died in Middletown, Conn. Frederick Ehrueman came to this country as a volunteer under General Lafayette, 1777, and served until the close of the war. He was born in Alsace, France.
