Tenny School Green Township

J.W. and Mrs. Mary Tenny built a log cabin on a 300 acre farm located on both sides of Dalziel Creek. After the Tenny's built the new frame house, Mrs. Tenny partitioned off a part of the log cabin, made some desks and seats and taught a four month school. Before Mrs. Tenny's first marriage to George Willis, she was a school teacher for a number of years. She resumed this calling and taught several terms of school which were held in her home.
