Shippell School Mecosta Township

1978 - Shippell Reunion Held The recent Shippell School reunion was attended by 35 persons at Browers Park. Hosts for the day were Mrs. John McHugh and Mrs. Charles Hathaway. The only teacher attending the reunion was Myrtle Buch who taught in 1917. The group voted to hold the reunion every two years on the third Sunday of August. A decision also was made to include other schools who were under the same school bard which would include /rodgers, Davis, Mt. Hope, Persley, Ladner and Shippell schools. The next reunion is scheduled for 1980 with Carolyn Arndt and Erma Bechaz in charge.
