The Bulletin and Herald

CENTER>

The Evening Bulletin of Big Rapids stands in the front rank of Michigan's small daily newspapers. Its chief claim to the consideration of the people of this city and vicinity being its careful attention to the local news of the day. Its publishers Olmstead & Co. fully realize that it would be fully for them to attempy to compete with the metropolitan dailies in telegraphic and general news, so devote their attention almost exclusively to local affairs, and that they have been very successful is hown by the large circulation which they have been able to build up. This makes it an exceptional advertising medium - a fact which is fully appreciated by the local merchants. The Bulletin is independent in politics, with Democratic leanings.

The Big Rapids Herald, the weekly edition of the Bulletin, is an all home print, eight paper paper, and universally acknowledged to be the leading weekly newspaper of Mecosta county. The Herald was established in 1876, and is Democratic in politics.

Both of these piblications are newspapers, rather than political organs, and they devote their attention very largely to the interests of Big Rapids and Mecosta county, being an acknowledged factor in the development of both. The large circulation and advertising patronage accorded them are ample evidence of success.
