"The Death of Francis Beaudoin"

Francis Beaudoin, of whose mental derangement we had a notice of a couple of weeks ago, died at the Newberry Asylum for the Insane last Sunday morning. He was taken suddenly ill on the day previous and grew continually worse until death released him from his sufferings.

Mr. Beaudoin was born at St. Bernard, Quebec, Canada October 4, 1838 and was consequently nearly 61 years of age. (Saint-Bernard is a municipality in the Municipalite' regionale de comte' de la Nouvelle-Beauce. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region). He has been a resident of this township for the past twenty years and by hard work and frugality had amassed some property. He had been twice married (Angele' Pomerleau & Victoria Aver), and leaves a widow, six boys, and one girl, to mourn his death.

The remains were brought from Newberry on Tuesday evening, and the funeral, which was largely attended, took place Wednesday morning, the services being held at the Precious Blood Catholic Church, Rev Barth officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
