Marinette Eagle-Star, Dec 24, 1921 FRANK GOLUECKE OF MENOMINEE DIES Frank Goluecke, well known Menominee mason contractor, died last evening at 5:45 at the St. Joseph's hospital following a four weeks illness. Complication of diseases has been given as the cause of death. Mr. Goluecke was 78 years of age, having been born in Germany on Aug. 17. At the age of 23 he came to the United States and settled in Fort, Wayne, Ind. From there he went to Green Bay, where he lived for a few years after which he came to Menominee and has been a resident of this city for the past thirty-nine years. Deceased is well known as a mason contractor, having built the first brick building in the city of Menominee, and also a number of other large buildings including the Menominee HIgh school, the Leisen-Henes Brewery; Church of the Epiphany; M. & M. Paper company, the first brick building of the Lloyd plant, and all of Main street. Deceased, who was also a member of the St. John's Society and the Turner Verein, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Goluecke and six children: Frank, Charles, Sylvester, Otto and George of Menominee; and a daughter Margaret, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 8:40 from the family residence, 716 Baker Avenue, Menominee, and at 9 o'clock from the Church of the Epiphany, with the Rev. Father Joseph Neumair officiating. Burial will be made at Riverside. |
