Marinette Eagle-Star, Thurs, Jan 9, 1958, p 5 GOLUEKE DIES AT RESIDENCE TODAY RETIRED CARPENTER 80 YEARS OF AGE Charles F. Golueke, 80, retired carpenter, died at 7:30 a.m., today in his home at 1104 11th Ave., Menominee. He had been ill since September. Mr. Golueke had been a resident of Menominee for 74 years and came here from Green Bay where he was born on February 10, 1877. He married the former Margaret Brosig at Pound in October, 1910. She died September 19, 1953. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bernard Chevalier of Menominee and Mrs. Karl Mohr of Green Bay; one son, Carl A. Golueke of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Nick Rank of Ferndale, Mich,; three brothers, Sylvester of Evanston, Ill, Otto of Marinette and George of Ferndale; seven grandchildren and two great grand children. A requiem mass will be intoned Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in Church of Epiphany, of which he was a member. The Rev. James J. Schaefer will be celebrant and burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the Kell funeral home from 2 p.m., Friday until 8:30 a.m., Saturday. Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the rosary Friday at 3 p.m., Daughters of Isabella at 7 p.m. and the parish vigil will be at 8 p.m. |
