Marinette Eagle-Star, Aug 29. 1952, p 2 FRANK GOLUEKE DIES THURSDAY RETIRED BRICKLAYER SICK TWO YEARS Frank A. Golueke, 77, retired bricklayer, died Thursday at 11:45 a.m. in his home at 1104 16th Ave., Menominee. He had been ill for two years. Mr. Golueke came to Menominee at the age of eight years with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Golueke Sr., from Green Bay where he was born September 21, 1874. He worked with his father in bricklaying and assisted in the construction of the Church of the Epiphany, for which his father was contractor. He was a member of the church, the Holy Name society and the Bricklayers Union. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Mohr, whom he married November 22 1898 at Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. Nick Rank of Ferndale, Mich., and four brothers, Charles of Menominee, Sylvester of Chicago, Otto of Marinette and George Golueke of Ferndale. The Rev. James J. Schaefer will be celebrant of the 9 o'clock requiem mass Monday morning in the Church of the Epiphany and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kell funeral home from 4 p.m., Saturday until 10 a.m., Sunday when the body will be taken to the family residence to remain until 8:30 a.m., Monday. Holy name society members will recite a rosary Saturday at 7 p.m., in the funeral home. Sunday at 3 p.m. there will be a rosary recited by the Christian Mothers society and the parish rosary will be at 8 p.m., Sunday. |
