W.J. St. Onge Dies at age 91

William J. St. Onge, 91, of 901 Madison St. died in Marinette General Hospital Friday afternoon following and illness of several months. Born in Michigamme, Mich. July 13, 1876, Mr. St. Onge was reared on a farm near Powers, Mich. and attended Lawrence College at Appleton. He resided in Nadeau, Mich, where he managed a grocery and later was employed by the C. H. Wooster Lumber Company. He also operated a grocery in Menominee and was employed by the Sawyer Goodman Company and the White Cedar Company. In 1912 he moved to Marinette where he operated the W.J. St. Onge Lumber Company, retiring 10 years ago. He married the former Helen O'Keefe in Oshkosh Sept 4, 1901. She died in 1954. Mr. St. Onge is survived by a brother, Edmund of Norway; five half brothers, Harry of Duluth Minn., Bert of Iron Mountain, Harvey of Milwaukee, Leo and Ivan of Menominee: two half-sisters Mrs. John Rodman of Hermansville and Mrs. Edmond Dugan of Menominee. Friends may call at the McLain-Thielen-Langer funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until Monday when services will be conducted at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lordes Church with the Rev. Robert Hogan officiating. Rosary services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
