Adam enlisted for 3 years service on August 30, 1864, at East Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 23. He was mustered in on September 3, 1864. He served with the 29th until September 6, 1865, at which time he was mustered out at Nashville, Tennessee. His postwar adress was Bloomfield, Michigan.
