Franklin M. Barnes

Company C, 19th Michigan Infantry

Franklin M. Barnes of Girard, MI, enlisted in company C, Nineteenth Infantry, Aug. 9, 1862, at Coldwater, for 3 years, when aged 20. Mustered Sept. 5, 1862. Wounded in action at Thompson's Station, Tenn., March 5, 1863. Mustered out at Washington, D. C., June 10, 1865. Burial is in the Ferry Township South Cemetery, Ferry, Michigan.
