Company K, 10th Michigan Infantry
Benajah or also spelled Benjah, from Lenawee County enlisted in
the 10th Infantry at Woodstock, Michigan, on December 5, 1861, for
3 years of service at the age of 37. He took the muster oath on
February 6, 1862. He served his term of duty and then at
Rossville, Georgia, re-enlisted for the balance of the war on
February 6, 1864. He was promoted to Corporal in June of 1865,
and then was mustered out of the service at Louisville, Ky, on
July 19, 1865.
