Enlisted in CO. G, 6th Michigan Cavalry, Feb. 16, 1864, at Kalamazoo, Michigan, for three years. Mustered 16 Feb 1864. Transferred to CO. I, 1st Cavalry, Nov 17, 1865. Mustered out at Salt Lake, UT., March 10, 1865. Angivine participated in the raid on Richmond, Virginia, - known as Kilpatricks Raid. Fought in the Battle of the Wilderness May 6, 1864. Present at Appomattox Court House surrender. Shipped to Powder River, Wyoming, where he saw limited action against the western tribes. Discharged Corporal. Returned to Battle Creek where he lived the rest of his life.
