James Harvey Self

James enlisted at Ann Arbor, Michigan, on on January 28, 1864, for 3 years of service at the age of 26. He died of disease on May 18, 1865, at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is buried in Grave #2263 at Murfreesboro. He had a brother John, also in Battery D who died of disease at Nashville, Tennessee, the previous year on March 9, 1864.
