Sept 3, 1911 – Jan 19, 1999Albert T. StraubArthur T. Straub, 87, a resident of Greenbrook Manor, formerly of Maybee [Monroe, Michigan], died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday in the nursing home. He had been indeclining health for three years and seriously ill for a week.Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Liedel Funeral Home, Maybee, where a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursady. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and at 10 a.m at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maybee. The Rev. Michael D. Malaw[?]y, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee. Born September 3, 1911, in London Township, he was the son of Benjamin and Barbara (Liedel) Straub. He married Grace Brabant in 1932. She died in 1941. He then married Jean Klippel in 1944 in Royal Oak. She died Oct. 7, 1994. He was a farmer in London Township. He also was a milk hauler in Maybee and Toledo. He was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maybee. Surviving are four sons, Dale and Fred, both of Maybee, Roy of Whittier, Calif., and Arnold of Milan; four daughters, Annabelle Russ of levering, Mrs. Gerald (Barbara) mauer of Charlotte, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Thompson of Luna Pier and Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Gentner of Adrian; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
