Source: Chris Kull, Archivist, Monroe County Historical Commission, 126 South Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161Bonnie Lee Straub, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Straub of 38 Ives street, died yesterday at 1 p.m. in Mercy Hospital within four hours after she had been taken there. Death was caused by pneumonia. Bonnie Lee, only child of the Straubs, was born December 9, 1942, in Mercy Hospital. Surviving her are her parents, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stoddard, and Mr. and Mrs. John Straub, all of Monroe [Michigan]. Funeral Services for Bonnie Jean Straub who died last Thursday [apparently this is the same individual as for the above Obituary notice, where the middle name is “Lee.” You may draw your own conclusions, as to which is factual. Comment inserted by transcriber, DS Hiatt, 09 Aug, 2007] were held at the Maurice funeral Home today at 2:30 p.m. and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 3 with the Rev. Fr. D.E. Perrin officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery [Monroe County, Michigan].
