Charlotte Mitchell
Mrs. Charlotte Mitchell, 92, of 2100 S. Custer Rd., died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday in Beach Nursing Home Inc. She had been in poor health for a year and seriously ill for the last four weeks. Friends may call in the Earle Little Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Otto Hood, formerly pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. The daughter of William and Sarah (Fisher) Eighmey, she was born May 13, 1884, in Whiteford Township. She was married to Harley Mitchell May 25, 1933, in Monroe. A housewife, she had lived all her life in Monroe County. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by a son, Delmer Pegler of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Don (Edna) Biggs of California, Mrs. Alvin (Lillian) Moore of Monroe, Mrs. Alvin (Carmen) Anteau of LaSalle, and Mrs. Alton (Dorothy) Worrell of Trenton; two brothers, Cornelius Eighmey of Lakeland, Fla., and Delbert Eighmey of Ormond Beach, Fla; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
