Clarence M. Straub

Clarence M. Straub, 82, of 4436 Ready Rd., South Rockwood, died Friday in his home.

Friends may call in the Clark H. ford & Son Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, South Rockwood, with the Rev. Thomas Sauter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Maybee [Monroe County, Michigan].

The son of Frederick and Lena (Gra[m]lic[h] [reporter spelled it: Granlick]) Straub, he was born March 28, 1897, in Maybee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, in 1975.

Mr. Straub, a former Detroit Edison Co. dispatcher, was a member of the American Legion Post in Dearborn.

Survivors include a son, Marvin, of South Rockwood; five sisters, Addie Schneider, Renee Complo, Isabel Conlisk and Edith Sullivan, all of Monroe and Viola Lavoy, of Ann Arbor: two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
