David Friedt died at his home in this village June 24, 1915, after several weeks illness. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania Dec 11, 1832, and came to Monroe county in 1850. In 1857 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah J. Rightmire of Petersburg, and to this union five children were born. Henry Friedt of Dundee, George Friedt of Kalamazoo, William Friedt of Detroit, Mrs Corah Bach of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs Eva Buhler of Toledo, Ohio, who with the wife mourn his death. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph Friedt of Petersburg, Jacob Friedt of Sandwich, Illinois, and one sister, Mrs Marie Cown of Britton.
