TEMPERANCE---Mrs Charles E. (Doris Sylvia) Henry, 75, of 11503 Minx Rd, died at 10:14 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital Unit, Monroe. She had been in poor health since October and in the hospital since Aug 14. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday and until 11 a.m. Monday in the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida. The body will lie in state Monday in Morocco United Brethern in Christ Church from 1 p.m. until services at 2. The Rev. Kenneth Beattie and the Rev. Keith Smith of Blissfield United Brethern in Christ Church will officiate. Burial will be in Erie Union Cemetery, Erie.
Born April 20, 1906, in Erie Township, she was the daughter of Elam and Mary (Rhoads) Shenk. She was married July 22, 1926, to Charles Henry in Samaria. She was a member of the Morocco Church and of its Womens Missionary Society. Memorials may be made to the church or to Monroe County Association for Retarded Citizens. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Charles D., of Ida, Dale A., of Samaria, and David L., of Temperance; a daughter, Mrs Herbert (Joanne) Smith of LaSalle, a brother, Harry Shenk of Detroit, a sister, Mrs James (Florine) Stallard of Grosse Pointe Woods, nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and four_______________(obit is cut off)
