Ellenor Yarger Henry
Ellenor Yarger Henry was born April 28, 1835 in Westmoreland Co, Pa. In 1850 moved with her parents to Monroe. She was united in marriage to Jacob Henry of Monroe in 1858. To this union were born one daughter Missouri, who lives at home with her parents, and three sons, Morison and Mark of Monroe, and Colby of Gratiot Co, Mich. She died Nov 1, 1911 at her home near Erie, where she has lived for about forty-eight years, aged 76 years, 6 months, and four days. She leaves to mourn their loss a faithful and true husband, her daughter and three sons, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister besides a large circle of friends and neighbors. She was a sufferer for many years. In her last days she found peace and comfort in the Lord Jesus and realized him a present help in time of need. One of the qualities that seemed to be much noticed in her was her affectionate disposition for her husband and children. She was heard to say a few days before she died that "she had the best husband on earth". She was very patient in her last hours of sickness, which helped her to pass away very peacefully. Her remains were laid to rest in the Union cemetery in Erie, C.E. Wolverton of Deerfield, officiating.
