Frank W. Howell
Frank W. Howell, 84, of Monroe died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday in theBeach Nursing Home, after a long illness. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bennett Funeral Home,Monroe, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Mike Nolan, assistant pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born December 27l 1913, in Burnsville, N.C. , he was the son of Granville and Mollie (Allen) Howell. He married Lillian Milligan on April 20, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio. He was employed by Union Camp for 35 years,retiring in 1975. He served in the Air Force during World War II and he was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, a son, Ray Kenneth, of South Rockwood, two brothers, Carson of Trenton and William of Travelers Rest, S.C.; a half-sister, Lucille done of Bay City, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
