MAYBEE- Frank Straub, 83, died at 6 this morning in the home of his brother and sister, Philip and Mary Straub, at 9600 Allison Rd., London Township [Monroe County, Michigan].

He was born Feb 18, 1873, in London Township, the son of Philip and Louise Straub. Mr. Straub attended Gramlic[h] School and was a farmer for several years before retiring about 12 years ago. He married Elizabeth Liedel June 25, 1935, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church here with the Rev. Frank Bertram performing the ceremony. After the death of his wife in 1943, Mr. Straub went to the home of his brother and sister. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church here.

In addition to his brother and sister, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. His parents, three sisters, and five brothers have died.

Services will be at 8:30 Wednesday morning in Liedel funeral home here and at 9 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Hennes will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight and at 8 Tuesday night in the funeral home.
