Genevieve E. Wagner Yarger
ADDISON-----Genevieve E. Yarger, 83, of Eagle Harbor, formerly of Monroe County, died Sunday in the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center, Laurium. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 tgo 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, 122 N. Steer St, Addison, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Keith Porter will officiate. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Union Cemetery in Monroe County.
Born June 6, 1913, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Clyde and Angeline (Francisco) Wagner. She was married June 29, 1932, to Robert C. Yarger in Monroe. They had lived in Monroe County and then in Addison for many years. For the past 28 years she had lived in Keweenaw County. Mrs Yarger had been employed as a nurse's aide at the former Monroe Hospital. She was a member of the Addison United Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Chet of Manitou Beach and Olin of Mohawk, a brother, Vern Wagner of LaSalle, a sister, Mrs Elmer (Katherine) Williams of Point Place, Ohio, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Orville, an infant son and daughter, a sister, and a brother.
