ROCKWOOD - Mrs. Chauncy (Hazel M.) Roberts, 74, of 21973 Harding, Rockwood, died Jan. 2, in Henry ford Hospital, Detroit, after a long illness.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Clark H. Ford and Son Funeral Home in Rockwood. Rosary services are to be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday followed by 11 a.m. services at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rockwood, with the Rev. Thomas Fauter officiating. Burial is to be at the St. Charles Cemetery in Newport.

Mrs. Roberts was born Oct. 30, 1901, in Newport, the daughter of William and Christine Chinavare. She was married in Newport to Chauncy Roberts on Jan. 12, 1926.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its altar society and senior citizens group.

She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Robert J. of Newport, Duane J. of Flat Rock and Thomas W. of Milan; 5 daughters, Mrs. Alvie (Ada) Reaume and Mrs. Mose (Helen) Gaynier of Newport, Mrs. George (Donna) Granger of Trenton and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Stasa, Jr. and Mrs. Dennis (Betty) Beste of Carleton; 32 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
