NEWPORT, Jan. 15 - Mrs. Helen Roberts, 85, of 7806 East Labo Rd. died at 5 p.m. yesterday. Born Oct. 2, 1886, she was married to John Roberts in St. Charles Church by Rev. Brancheau. Mr. Roberts died in 1923.

Survivors are three sons, Amos at home, Chauncey of Flat Rock and Henry of Waltz; five daughters, Mrs. James St. Bernard of River rouge, and Mrs. Charles Masserant, Mrs. Edward Masserant, Mrs. Frances Reaume and Mrs. Royal Reaume of Newport; one brother Benjamin VanWassehnova of Newport; one sister, Mrs. Harriet Frankhouse of Monroe; 34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Prayers will be at 8 tonight in the Ford funeral home at Rockwood. St. Charles Altar Society will have prayers at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home and at 9:30 in St. Charles Church at Newport.
