[Monday] 10 June 1957 is written in with pen by the Archivist, Chris KullJohn StraubJohn Straub, 64, of 525 Cass St., died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday in Monroe Hospital, where he had been for a week. He had been ill two months.Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Maurice funeral home with the Rev. Herbert C. Carnell of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Born Sept. 30, 1892, at Dupont, Ind., he was the son of Henry and Isobel Downey Straub. He married Unabell Johnston, Sept. 25, 1916, at Indianapolis, Ind. They moved to Monroe [Michigan] March 25, 1921, where he became a machine operator for Consolidated Paper Co. Surviving are 3 sons, Lindley and James e. of Monroe and John R. of Cleveland; and daughter, May, at home; 2 brothers, George of Madison, Ind., and Harry of Dupont and 11 Grandchildren.
