Joseph Moor Yarger

Joseph Moor Yarger, son of John and Marguereta Kelley Yarger was born in Westmoreland Co, Penn Oct 9, 1843 and passed away with paralysis of the throat at the home of his sister, Mrs Barbara Verdon at Samaria, Mich, on Nov 12, 1918 aged seventy-five years one month and three days. He came with his parents to Michigan in 1850, settling in Monroe county near Yargerville. In 1883 he moved with a brother to Centralia, Kansas, where he remained until four weeks before his death. He is survived by his sister Mrs Barbara Verdon and two brothers, George and David. Six sisters and three brothers preceding him in death. His twin brother John having passed away one year ago, lacking ten days. Mr Yarger was a high type of noble character, and justice and honor seemed to have been his motto through life. Funeral services were conducted at the Neriah church by Rev Birchfield of Carson City, Mich, on Friday afternoon. Interment was in the little cemetery back of the church where his ancestors are buried and was conducted by the Samaria F. and A.M. Lodge.
