DUNDEE----Leslie F. Henry, 69, a long-time Dundee resident, died Thursday night of natural causes at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Mount Pleasant, where he had been since Feb 2. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Buhl-Cover Funeral Home, Dundee. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Lulu Cemetery in Ida with the Rev. Jerry Kronk, pastor of the Adrian Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Born Nov 8, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Floyd and Loretta (Gensler) Henry. A 1940 graduate of Dundee High School, he was a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, attaining the rank of Fireman 1st Class. Surviving are a son, Gerald, of Dundee, a daughter, Kathleen Eby of Chicago, Illinois, two sisters, Mrs Julian (Marie) Brown of Dundee, and Mrs Henry (Lucille) Weaver of Cherokee Village, Ark., and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vernilda Henry and Juanita Dindoffer. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's We Care or to the charity of the donor's choice.
