Lloyd G. Knapp

Miami, Ariz.------Lloyd G. Knapp, 45, died at 2 p.m. yesterday in Veterans Hospital at Tucson, Ariz. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday in the Capaul Funeral Home at Ida. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Crabtree, pastor of the Ida Evangelical United Brethern Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the King Cemetery on S. Custer Rd, where military services will be conducted by Lynn C. Weeman Post 514, American Legion, of Ida.


The son of Ralph and Susan Knapp, he was born Sept 18, 1916, on S. Custer Rd, in Raisinville Twp. He was graduated in 1936 from Dundee High School and moved to Arizona in the fall of 1937. He married Bess Wetherick July 5, 1951, at Stafford, Ariz. Mr Knapp, a salesman for the L.B. Price Mercantile Co, at Miami, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Miami Veterans of Foreign Wars post. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Lloyd Elmer and Ralph Donald of Miami, a brother, Elmer of Ida, and a sister, Mrs Donald (Alice) Sorter of Temperance.
