Aug 27, 1933 - April 19, 2005TEMPERANCE-----Services have been set for Lowell A. Yarger, 71, of Temperance, who died Tuesday in his home. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, where the Order of the Eastern Star services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. Masonic services will follow. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dana Strall, pastor of Erie United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery, Whiteford Township.Born Aug 27, 1933, in Temperance, he was the son of Alvin and Ethel (Brunt) Yarger. He married Gaynell Price Feb 23, 1968, at Erie United Methodist Church. He worked for M.T.S. in Temperance for 10 years, retiring in 1996. Before that, he was employed by Sentle Trucking in Genoa, Ohio, for 10 years. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. A 1951 graduate of Ida High School, he was a member of Erie United Methodist Church, Samaria Chapter 391, OES, for which he was an associate patron, and Blanchard Lodge 102, Free & Accepted Masons of Samaria, for which he was tyler.Surviving are his wife, a daughter Crystal (Steve) Venia of Ottawa Lake, two brothers, Paul (Carolyn) of Osseo and Marvin (Zan) of Huron, Ohio, and four grandchildren. He was preceded n death by a brother, Richard. Memorials may be made to Erie United Methodist Church's endowment fund or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
