Mrs. Margaret Roberts
Mrs. Margaret Roberts, relict of the late Franceville Roberts, died at her home in Sandy Creek Monday morning at 7:00 o'clock after an illness of three months. The funeral services were held Thursday morning from St. Mary's church and were conducted by Rev. Fr. James S. Downey and were very largely attended. Margaret Bono was born in Erie, October 1, 1824, where her parents had settled in 1798. She was married to Franceville Roberts, a widower with ten children, and from the second marriage there were nine children. Of the latter, seven survive her, as do also a sister, three brothers, 36 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Despite her 86 1/2 years, she was in sound health until January 20th, when she fell and broke her hip bone. Up to that time she was a regular attendant at St. Mary's church, having been at the services the Sunday before her accident.
