Mrs. Edna (Wistlinghausen) Straub

Mrs. Edna Straub, 69, of 3125 Englewood, Woodland Beach, died of a stroke at 8:55 p.m. yesterday in Mercy Hospital. She had been in poor health since February, seriously ill five weeks and hospitalized about two weeks.

Friends may call after 7:30 tonight at the Earle Little funeral Home where services will be Saturday. Burial will be in the London Township Cemetery [Monroe County, Michigan].

The daughter of Henry and Mary Wistlinghausen, she was born Feb 28, 1902, in Ohio. June 5, 1932, she was married to William Straub in Detroit. He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1957.

She moved to Monroe from Elmore, Ohio, in 1920.

Surviving are a brother, Henry Wistlinghausen of Wyandotte, and four sisters, Mrs. Cyrus (Maude) Gnepper of Elmore, Mrs. Elizabeth Maass of Marshall, Mich., Mrs. Irwin (Mabel) Foshag of Carp Lake, Mich., and Mrs. Ralph (Anna) Ballard of Monroe.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna Edith Straub, 69, of 3125 Englewood, Woodland Beach, who died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, were Saturday in the Earle Little Funeral Home. The Rev. Arden Cogar Jr. of the Ecorse Friendly Missionary Baptist Church officiated and burial was in London Township Cemetery [Monroe County, Michigan].

Bearers were Roland Ballard, Leo Diel, Norman Acker, William Emerick, William Foshag and Dennis Wistlinghausen.
