Ralph Knapp, 70, of S. Custer Rd, was found dead in his home at noon Friday by his son, Elmer. He had been in the hospital recently. Born Dec 7, 1883, in Raisinville Twp, he was the son of Henry and Caroline (Rees) Knapp. He married Susan Yarger in 1912. She died April 28, 1937. He married Helen Rauch Nov 2, 1939. He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Helen, a daughter, Mrs Donald W. Sortor of LaSalle, two sons, Elmer of Ida and Lloyd G. of Miami, Ariz, two sisters, Mrs Gust Albright, and Mrs Glenn Simmons, both of Monroe, a sister in law, Mrs Rose Knapp of Ida, and five grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded him in death. The body is in the Capaul funeral home at Ida where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev Paul Crabtree of the Ida Evangelical United Brethern Church will officiate and burial will be in King Cemetery.
