"He told about walking 1 1/2 miles to attend the Gurd School and of playing with Indian children whenever the tribe camped at the site where Hillcrest Cemetery is now located."
(Clifford's employment) He worked for the railroad, for Gibson in Greenville, on construction of the Ox Bow dam near Morley, farmed, was a carpenter mason and loved to hunt, fish and trap.
Viola's employment; picked beans at the Six Lakes elevator, worked at the Edmore bag factory and the Lakeview pickle plant.
They moved to Sumnerville in the fall of 1918 and lived there until their death, Viola Feb 12, 1974 and Clifford March 3, 1974.
