Service | Albert enlisted for three years in Ionia, MI, 11 Aug 1862, as a private in Company K, 21st MI Volunteer Infantry, 14th A. C. He fought at Perrysville and was in hospitals at Lebanon, KY, Louisville, KY, and Gallipolis, OH, from November 1862 to March 1863, with chronic diarrhea, lung trouble and erysipelas in face. During his convalescence he acted as a nurse for two or three months and was honorably discharged at Gallipolis, OH, 7 Mar 1863. He was pensioned. | ||
