She was born to Roswell and Nancy (Mills) Lamb 22 Jun 1834. Their children were: Willis Duane (1860-1946) huband to Dora M. Scott; George R. (1862-1947) husband of Bertha Bennett; Frederick Albertus (1864-1940) husband of Rosetta Marsh; Ulysses G. (1869-1944) husband of Ola A.; and Eugene Jerome (1872-1925) husband of Lena M. Bennett. Louisa died 1 Jul 1896 and is buried in Sheridan Cemetery, Montcalm County, MI. |

Service | Asa Sinclair entered the service at the age of 30 from Montcalm County, MI. He enlisted 23, Dec 1863 as a private in Company L, 1st Michigan Engineers and Mechanics. He was mustered in 12 Jan 1864. He was detailed to go to Stevenson, AL, after rations, and was waptured on the return trip by Forest's troops, near Murfreesboro, TN, 15 Dec 1864. He was held 110 days on the march and in Andersonville and was exchanged 3 Apr 1865. When captured he weighed 150 pounds and when he reached home he weighed only 75 pounds. During the month of April 1865 he was confined in the hospitals at Vicksburg and St. Louis, MO, remaining four months with chronic diarrhea, and was honorably discharged at St. Louis 4 Aug 1865. He was pensioned $12. | ||
