Vitals | George W. Davison was born 14 Jul 1839 in Sterling, Aranac County, Michigan. He was the son of Andrew D. and Sally (King) Davison. In Essex, Clinton County, Michigan he married Mary Lambie on 7 May 1868. She was born in Scotland 6 Apr 1848, the daughter of John and Mary (Sellers) Lambie. They settled in Montcalm County in April 1882. Their children were Roy L. (1881-1963) husband of Virginia Mae Sidora; Matie L. (1869-1924) wife of Lewis Allen; and Jennie Mae (1873-1919) wife of Alanson J. Chandler. All of the children are buried in Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester, MI. Sally Davison died 17 Nov 1935 and is buried in Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester, MI. George Davison died 27 Oct 1922. |

Service | When George was 22 and a farmer in Macomb County, MI, he enlisted from Utica on 7 Aug 1862 as a private in Company B, 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry. He was honorably discharged in Nashville, TN, 26 Jun 1865. He was pensioned. | ||
