Henry G. Greenhoe

Henry Greenhoe was born in Summit County, Ohio, 6 Jun 1819. His parents were Michael Greenhoe and Otelia Seebold. He was married to Hannah Wise 13 Aug 1840 in Summit County, OH. Hannah was born in Ohio, 22 Nov 1819. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Knoll) Wise, both born in Pennsylvania.

They had these children: William C. (1841-1915) husband of Lucinda Clementina Webster; Mary M. (1843-1914) wife of George M. Greenhoe; Rachel (1845-1923) wife of Edward Thayer; Elizabeth (1847-) wife of Henry Miller and Henry Wilsey; Roxyann A. (1849-1911) wife of Leroy Benoni Dickinson; Hiram Wesley (1850-1917) husband of Amelia R. Roudabush; Michael (1852-1927) husband of Charlotte C. Umbenhauer; George Frank (1854-1924) husband of Premella Nickerson; Martha Adelia (1857-1890) wife of Charles Lott; Levi Joseph (1860-1931) husband to Ida Lillian Eavey; and Addie Adelphia (1859-1950) wife of George Henry Eitterman.

Hannah died of apoplexy, 7 Oct 1907, in Montcalm County and is buried in Evergreen Township Cemetery.

Henry Greenhoe was in Company F, 128th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, along with Abraham Miller. He entered the service 15 Nov 1863. During 1864, he served on Johnson's Island, a military prison. Henry was discharged 14 Jul 1865, having served one year and ten months. Listed in paper as receiving $12-$14 pension in 1900, $17 pension in 1904. Pension records have his death as 16 Apr 1914, Sheridan, MI.
