Judson and Elnora (aka Nora) had these children: LeRoy (1876-1892); Ralph Harvey (1877-1951) husband to Erissia J. Sanborn and Frances?; Lewis J. (1882-1940) husband of Nellie Buys; and Edna Marie (1885-1973) wife of William J. Reidell; Ruby (1894-1900); Orley (1895-1968) husband of Loraine I. Jares. Elnora Pond was living alone in Belding for the 1930 census. She died, 2 Jan 1940, after 9 years at the Michigan Soldiers' Home and is buried in Otisco Cemetery, Belding, MI. Mr. Pond held the office of Highway Commissioner in Belvidere Township, Montcalm County in 1882. |

Service | Mr. Pond enlisted for three years on 29 Aug 1864 at Grattan Center, MI. He mustered in 1 Sep 1864. At the age of 17 he became a private in Company B., 3rd Michigan Volunteer Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Division, 4th A. C. He fought at Decatur and Murfreesboro, was detailed, December 1865, at San Antonio, TX, four weeks, to look after government property, and was finally given an honorable discharge for disability at San Antonio, TX, on 23 Mar 1866. He was pensioned at the rate of $12. | ||
