East Cemetery

This cemetery is located on County Road 610, East of Lewiston (Section 22). The County office of Montmorency is located at M-32; P.O. Box 789, Atlanta, MI 49709; Administrator can be reached at (989)786-3358. Albert Township is responsible for maintaining this cemetery. Their Hall is located at 4360 Hansen Street, P.O. Box 153, Lewiston, MI 49756  (989) 786-2513. They meet the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and on the 3rd Monday at
4:00 p.m. in the township hall at Kneeland Street in Lewiston.
From Lewiston: From County Road 612 and Junction 489⁄491 take County 612 going east for 3.3 miles and the cemetery is on the left (North) side of the road. There may be other people buried in this cemetery that have no tombstones, or markers, just a cross or what ever is left of a old burial spot of stone, lamb or a metal funeral home marker where the metal and names with dates are rusted over to make them unreadable to this day.
