John J. Hoos Dies At Age of 77 
Stroke Of Apoplexy Is Fatal

A few hours after suffering a stroke of apoplexy, John J. Hoos died last evening at his home, 79 Denison Street. He was 77 years old. 

Besides his widow, Mr. Hoos leaves four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Minnie Harken, Mrs. Hubert Schroeder, and Mrs. J.E. Woodrow of Muskegon, Mrs. John Smallfield of Bloomington, Ill., and George J. and John E. Hoos of Muskegon. 

Mr. Hoos has been a resident of Muskegon for the last twenty-five years. He was born in Mensburg, Germany. He was a blacksmith by trade, but has not worked for the last fifteen years. He was for some time in the employ of Hackley & McGordon and their successors, Hackley & Hume. Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Hoos celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the residence. Rev. Henry Bank will conduct the service.
