Loonsfoot, age 66 of L'Anse passed away on Monday, February 17, 2003 at his home. He was born July 14, 1936 in L'Anse, son of the late Simon and Charlotte (Kishketog) Loonsfoot. Clifford attended school in L'Anse. He lived in Florida and Texas where he drove truck. He moved back here in 2000. Clifford is a member of the KBIC. He is survived by his children, Clinton Loonsfoot of Illinois, Kelly Loonsfoot of San Bernardino, CA, and Angela Loonsfoot; brothers, Wilmer Loonsfoot of Baraga, Virgil Loonsfoot of Baraga; sisters, Diane DeCota of Baraga, Margaret (Dean) Poleahla of Falls Church, Virginia; six grandchildren. He is preceded in death a sister Elizabeth Marie Durant. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zeba Indian Mission United Methodist Church. Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home and Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Margaret Grant will officiate.
