Geroux, age 82 of Baraga passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Portage Health System in Hancock. She was born July 29, 1921 in Assinins, MI daughter to William and Elizabeth (Head) Madosh. Harriet worked for Wigwam and the Tribal Center. She was an avid fan of the "Cubbies", Chicago Cubs baseball. She enjoyed gardening, baking apple pies, reading and had a great passion for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially spending her Saturday nights with Mannie. Harriet's pass time was giving to others. She was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins and enjoyed reading the church bulletin every Sunday. Surviving are her children Richard A. (Cheryl) Geroux, Bruce F. Geroux, George S. (Mary) Geroux, Gregory D. Geroux all of Baraga, Mary (Orlando) Moreno of Fountain Hills, AZ; a "special son", Mannie Brunk; brother James Cote; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; her former husband Clarence W. Geroux of Baraga; and a special friend Asta. Preceding her in death are her children William C. Geroux and Judith M. Miron; grandson, Michael R. Miron; great grandson Michael Barnhard; brothers and sisters, Clifford Madosh, Helen Shannon, Elizabeth Chosa, George Madosh, and Hubert Madosh. The memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Fr. James Zaminski and Fr. Greg Heikkala will celebrate the mass. Inurnment will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
